Gardening 101

Studies show that gardening decreases anxiety, elevates mood and is helpful for overall mental health. In these trying times we have had due to Covid, the garden has offered an escape from reality as it should. Use your garden as an expression of yourself and as a place to do more than just grow food and flowers but also hopes and dreams.

Plant a Vegetable Patch

It's never a bad time of year to do something pertaining to the vegetable garden. Even though it's cold and dreary, now is a great time to thumb through seed catalogs and order the old standbys and maybe select a few things outside of your comfort zone. Perhaps check out the "Asian Greens" section of your seed catalogs, these tend to perform great in the heat and humidity of the south.
